This waltz-y ballad was written with members of my long-ago band, Team Lizzy. Members included: Montonn Jira, Peter DuCharme and Sammy Rubin. I originally wrote the lyrics about my sister and I when we were little, and she was terrified of the dark. We shared bunk beds and I would sit with her on the bottom bunk, and try and reassure her in the dim glow of our trusty night light. I really love the fact that we can capture beautiful moments in our lives in a simple song.
When we wish together, we see a bright light,
Don’t know where it comes from, but it’s only at night,
When I sleep beside you and beside you I am
taking care. . .
I know you’ll never tell me, you’re afraid of the dark
Bedtime comes upon you, the jaws of a shark
When I sleep beside you and I hide you from harm,
then you’ll see. . .
The sky open up
And the stars fall around you,
Don’t look up, they’ll get in your eyes
When the night light erupts, they will fall all around you,
And when we sleep, we’ll be covered in stars
You run away from moonlight as if it will spill,
You’re hiding in the corner in darkness until,
until, I sleep beside you and I hide you from harm,
don’t be afraid. . .don't be afraid of the dark
When the skies open up
And the stars fall around you,
Leave them alone, they’ll find their way home
When the night light erupts, they will fall all around you,
And when we sleep, we’ll be covered in stars
Sky open up!
And the stars fall around you, ooohh,
Leave them alone, they’ll find there way home
When the night light erupts, and the stars fall all around you,
Don’t look now, we’re covered in stars. . .
Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo. . . .

My name is Lizzy Yoder and I write and sing songs that are sometimes funny, sometimes sad, and sometimes deep. Yeah, I'm a
pretty deep thinker. But I like to dance! This little EP took a long time to make it to shore. I will be adding more "charms" to this bracelet in the near future, but for the time being, please enjoy these three songs....more
